A new FCC listing appears for an HTC Vive headset. And in fact, a new request to FCC for a new device has arrived from HTC. FCC certifications are requested before releasing an electronic device in the US (to certify that it is safe to be used), so this is a clear sign that HTC is going to release a new headset soon.

HTC is set to reveal its new VIVE Mars CamTrack solution at the SIGGRAPH 2022 in Vancouver, Canada, where it will showcase the immersive production tool with Departure Lounge and Arcturus, it was revealed on Tuesday. Otherwise, now the situation is more or less like before, with the exception of some places where there are still some Oculus devices in stock (for instance in Japan and Taiwan). The VR route is instead being pursued by HTC (with its VEC event happening soon) and IEEE. Google MediaPipe can now track 3D objects. Who knows….

I think Microsoft is calling them "world anchors" and I think Google has called them "VPS points" or-- everybody has a solution for it today or is a solution for it. Alan: Actually, I would say all of them are based on Unity or Unreal. And I think that it's in Japan now, that we are trying to rent out furniture.
