This is a period with many tech announcements: we had Meta telling about its Horizon OS, yesterday OpenAI unveiled the new GPT-4o, and today Google will hopefully unveil its Android XR operating system. For example, while holding a physical prop, such as a welding torch, the hand tracking remains robust. What a time to be alive!

VR in medical imaging: The first thing that comes to mind when we think about VR in medical imaging is the training of students, for example, surgery simulation. A great example would be a program called Virtual Relief. Another good example is a Swiss startup MindMaze that helps people restore their motor skills after a stroke.

I think that, after a year, its specifications don’t sound exceptional anymore and maybe it is better that LG jumps directly to a second generation or that enters the standalone market (as it seems, since there are some rumors about a new revolutionary headset screen developed by Google and LG). It has feet controllers, haptic feedback for hands, vibrational feedback for the hand, and other cool features that are missing in the most common headsets.
