Leap Motion , a maker of hand-tracking software and hardware, has been experimenting with exactly that, and is teasing some very interesting results. Now as Leap Motion’s VP of Design, he’s turning his ideas into (augmented) reality.

The game places you inside an otherworldly laboratory littered with oozing green liquids, ghoulish sound effects, and strange wooden machines; an aesthetic similar to something you might see in a Harry Potter film. A voice guides you and encourages you to interact with various objects scattered throughout the lab.

Back in 2016, designer and filmmaker Keiichi Matsuda released Hyper-Reality, a concept film that imagined an augmented reality future where physical and virtual realities have merged, resulting in a "city saturated in media." The film was heavily circulated, covered extensively across media and news outlets when it released.
