According to a patent released by Sony Interactive Entertainment recently, the company seems to be working on an all-new VR motion controller that is very similar to the Valve Index, manufactured and created by Valve. The patent mostly talks about a controller device that will have the input mechanism of a home-use game machine. It will be able to detect the hand movement of the users.
