Key to HTC and Valve’s strategy was handing out Pre kits for free: I still remember the cheers when Valve told everyone at the Vision Summit a few months later that they would be getting a free Vive, and I still see people using the Pre today. In an ideal world, every developer releases their game with ease.

The only company not much affected by it is HTC, that manufacturers its headsets in Taiwan and not in Mainland China. On the software side, HTC has just launched in China Vive Sync , a solution for remote meetings in VR that may help a lot the Chinese people that are forced to work from home. Learn more. Image by Sony). Sony believes in VR, and we definitely believe at some point in the future, VR will represent a meaningful component of interactive entertainment. So, PSVR2 probably won’t launch before 2022 : Sony can afford that also because it has no competition in the console VR space , so there is no need to rush.
