Chinese manufacturers BOE and SeeYA may provide cheaper displays in higher quantities than Sony is doing now, while Samsung may be supplying the DRAM components. It seems that most of the rumors are aligning on the launch of an Apple Vision Pro 2 in 2026–2027.

But at the presentation of the latest Samsung Note 10, for the first time after the Note 4, Samsung has dropped support for Gear VR in its latest flagship device. And Samsung is not abandoning XR for sure.

Currently, they are suitable only for taking photos and videos and answering phone calls, but Meta is already working on the next models, which should also integrate AR features. The third one, which should add AR functionalities, is the one to keep an eye on.

This business strategy of selling to few people for a high price has completely sense , considering that all the device has been conceived to add all the features that could make it compelling mostly for professionals. The SDK offers native APIs, but also supports popular game engines like Unity and Unreal 4.
