Today I have the pleasure of publishing an interview I had with Graham Atlee , a very smart guy that has developed the Triton Project, a DIY affordable AR headset with wide FOV and natural hands interactions! In my visit, I tried a lot of AR/VR experiences , most of them just for few minutes. 3D objects had washed out colors , a bit like when you see AR objects through HoloLens 1 and Magic Leap One … they appeared a bit semi-transparent. A stationary bike with VR support created by a startup in the Kosmos hub in Kaohsiung.

Considering that HL 1 had a FOV around 30-35° (the exact number has never been disclosed), I think that a reasonable guess is around 70-75° , that is a massive improvement, that will make AR more usable. For what regards the user experience, instead, there are great innovations. Resolution. USB USB Type-C. Price and release date.

The software is very famous , and some videos about artists drawing with it have become so viral that even mainstream people have seen them. The good news is that the software has not just been discontinued, but it has been released open-source, so the community can keep it alive and improve it. This is a piece of great news.

Tools like the Oculus already come with hand tracking functionality, to help users interact with some software on a hands-free basis. The company offers a range of modules, including the Stratos Inspire, and Leap Motion controller. Unity and Magic Leap. It will be interesting to see what Valve delivers next.
