Although the Samsung Galaxy S8 may not make its big entrance at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next week, the company will however be presenting a few new VR/AR projects coming direct from their in-house incubator Creative Lab (C-Lab). Just recompense? Monitorless. I guess we’ll find out soon.

When I accessed the “Movies & TV” app it even auto-loaded a 360 video section. When I picked a video it auto-launched all around me without having to load up another 360 video player app of any kind. I got to go on a virtual tour of Rome and marvel at the potential of VR tourism.

This is especially evident at tourism and real estate events. Oculus’ rift and even the Samsung GearVR (a darling of VR marketing depts) will soon have room scale tracking capability. 2D 360 does have it’s place though, in transporting people to such places such as the Grand Canyon or the great outdoors.
