First of all, Google has to keep the work on the headset very secret also internally , because Samsung is afraid that Google will steal its expertise to build a competing product. Samsung can be the first partner also on this line of products. That’s fantastic news for all Unity XR developers!

Her first VR creation, Cardboard City , earned an award at the Samsung Gear Indie Milk VR contest in 2016. We’re working with Unity on this project. We’ve got these 3D pixels that the dancers are comprised of, and those are super fun to work with and throw into Unity and put these super amazing shaders on them. ”.

In 2015 my girlfriend came with a Cardboard and with no experience with Unity I created my first 360 photo which I’ve shown to my manger. For example, creating and processing 360 videos creates a lot of data. In 2018 we did a case study where people were invited to use virtual reality in a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) fashion.

According to some reviewers, the display may also be the same one made by Samsung. The Focus may feature a slightly better FOV : it is reported to have 110° FOV, against the rumored 95-100° of Quest (even if when speaking about FOV it is never clear if companies give data in term of horizontal or diagonal FOV). Half a point for Oculus.

You’ve done everything from IBM Watson, to Google, to HTC, Samsung. Those support Bose AR as well, provided they were purchased after November of last year, 2018. The way that you can do it with Bose AR, if you’re a developer, is within Unity, you can actually do that same thing. What an amazing piece of technology.
