This is a training tool for nursing students which allows them to interact with holographic patients and experience common medical scenarios they might not otherwise be exposed to. One example is Axel Springer Digital Ventures recently announcing that they would be investing an undisclosed amount in Magic Leap.

It's notable that this vision of augmented reality layers is also very similar to one shared by the earlier days of Magic Leap, before the company laid off many of its workers.

The release of Magic Leap One was supposed to be the “magic moment” for consumer AR, the development that finally got consumers excited about augmented reality glasses. I can see Magic Leap finding a niche in B2C use cases, which would increase consumer exposure to wearable AR beyond in-store retail apps and social media.
