Apple finally talks about VR while taking a (very solid) swing at AR, Walmart will use virtual reality to train employees, you can grow better weed with AR + AI, and Q1 VR headset sales…. WALMART PARTNERS WITH STRIVR LABS FOR VR TRAINING. APPLE ACTUALLY TALKS ABOUT VR. However… we’re still waiting for those apple AR glasses.

Their phones can be used for some low-end VR, via the Cardboard platform from Google, but they haven’t had anything of their own to match the higher-end Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream View headsets. Apple has lagged behind in the virtual and augmented reality race so far. It works on Android, iOS, Windows and Tango.

It’s not clear on what platforms this functionality will be working on, but if I had to guess, I would say Project Cambria, since its body tracking was already revealed in a video some months ago. For instance, since I work on a VR fitness game , I’m thinking about all the new training experiences that will become now possible.

With this digital edition, of course, we had nothing of this, and the CES was just a bunch of video announcements. What is cool, watching the video, is that the notifications that the smartglasses project are rendered on both eyes, so with these glasses it is possible to have a 3D display always in front of you.

You don’t need to be a super well-trained videographer or you don’t need a buy or rent tons of stabilization gear to stabilize your camera.
