All the other major companies (Samsung, Huawei, etc…) are working on AR and Apple for sure can’t stop experimenting with if it doesn’t want to miss the next communication platform as Microsoft did with Windows Phone. And after having seen the new video announcing the beta, I am even more convinced of it.

Microsoft admits display problems on HoloLens 2. Microsoft negated the issue, but now, after continuous reporting from users, it has been forced to admit it. That’s a great win for the XR community, also because after having acknowledged the issue, Microsoft will have to work in actively solving it. Register now.

Last month, we got to know that (according to a rumor) Samsung is working together with Microsoft on new AR glasses, most probably powered by a Qualcomm chipset. Samsung has apparently completed a prototype, and “is deciding the release date”.

These are huge numbers for VR: if you look at the most recent SteamVR survey, you get that Oculus headsets are now at 67% of the whole PCVR market. A report from Insider states that Microsoft may have canceled its plans for HoloLens 3. It’s basically a monopoly. But there is also bad news to talk about. Some updates on Meta products.

In my opinion , the true error is with the Vive 1 , that will get a price that is higher than the one of all the competitors… and that will cost as much as a Samsung Odyssey, notwithstanding its far lower features. This is Oculus’s answer to Steam Hardware & Software Survey. Vive Focus comes to the west.
