Focused, acute pulses simulate sharp points; broader, more distributed ones can simulate sensations like dipping into water. The suit’s gloves will simulate gripping objects by restricting finger movement: wrap your hands around a hard plastic cup in VR, and your gloves will freeze at the point where you can’t squeeze any further.

They should guarantee better tracking both for the headset and the controllers; The controllers are smaller and seem a mix between the Oculus Touch and the WMR 1 controllers. HP and Microsoft have a long track in offering enterprise hardware, so this headset may battle HTC on his own land (B2B). Oculus Link 2 could be tetherless.

Considering that Facebook is very smart also in leaking misleading info (as it has happened with the “Monterey” headset ), this can also be a move from Menlo Park to create hype for the upcoming Oculus Connect 6 and the AR glasses that will be teased there. I remember seeing the Oculus guys — Palmer Luckey and Nate Mitchell and Brendan (Iribe) over at one of their CES tables in the early years, well before they were acquired. And even the Oculus Quest is at $400, and they seem to be the $200 Oculus Go. Facebook is still investing in Oculus, obviously.
