Top news of the week (Image by Google) Samsung XR headset may have been delayed The new rumor in town is that Samsung has delayed its upcoming headset that it is building in partnership with Google and Qualcomm.

The main one regards the 4 devices we were waiting for this year , which in our opinion should have changed everything: Quest 3, Apple Vision Pro, Google-Samsung Headset, and PSVR 2. There was (and still is) quite a good hype for these headsets, exactly as there was hype for what was Oculus Santa Cruz, the codename of the Oculus Quest.

If the report were true, this would mean that Apple doesn’t believe in AR anymore and this would be terrible news for all the immersive realities ecosystem. Oculus is working on 2nd gen VR. Mark Zuckerberg told that Oculus Quest closed the first generation of VR and so Oculus is now working on its second generation.

Passes Half a Million Downloads on Gear VR Generally speaking, Oculus and Samsung won’t release official figures for software sales on Gear VR, but Resolution Games today revealed an impressive figure for Bait! Last month Oculus revealed that Gear VR had seen one million people in April 2016, so it sounds like Bait!

Coronavirus is back in Italy and from yesterday we’re having new restrictions like a night curfew, some kind of shops closed, etc… I hope that you and the people you love are safe. While Oculus is getting all the glory for the Quest, its competitors are not sleeping. Other relevant news.

Italy, Canada, and China together to create an amazing video about these VR glasses! The kit is composed by: An inside-out tracking add-on , that you attach to your glasses so that that they can track themselves (positional tracking) and the controllers; Two controllers that are very similar to the Oculus Touch.

They have hired the popular singer Madison Beer (I had no idea who she was, honestly) and have made her perform inside a virtual venue for a virtual concert that won’t be available only in streaming, but also via Oculus and PSVR headsets. You know that I organize VR concerts with VRrOOm (and our last one even had 75M total views!)
