These are pretty cool, also because the Snapdragon XR 2 is much more powerful than the 835 mounted by the Oculus Quest. New Steam hardware survey highlights that the number of VR headsets has grown again, and now according to Road To VR there are 1.6M Oculus Quest is sold out, and Coronavirus may make the situation even worse.

HTC has finally revealed the price of the Vive Pro : it will cost $799 just to have the headset (no controller and no base stations, so you must already have a Vive 1 kit) and will be available for pre-orders since April, 5th. But, as Road To VR has stated, maybe HTC should have clarified that in all its marketing material.

For weight comparison, my Oculus CV1 Touch controller weighed in a little lighter at 160 grams including 1 rechargeable battery. The Index controllers were smaller than they had seemed in photographs but felt denser than their measured weight , indicating that there was much going on inside. So what is going on here?

Everyone of us already knew that Gear VR was a platform almost abandoned when Oculus announced the Oculus Go. Anyway, officially, both Samsung and Oculus have continued at least to support it. It is a big showcase demo for its Unreal Engine 5, and I have to say it is pretty impressive. Good news for us developers: Meta has updated the Oculus SDK, and now it is possible to implement voice commands and spatial anchors in our Quest experiences. The new update also brings hand tracking support in the Oculus OpenXR plugin.
