We are in the middle of a cheap shortage, and now Valve hardware product lines are devoted to the SteamDeck, so it’s improbable that a new production line is starting immediately.

Huge companies like Facebook and Microsoft are throwing vast sums of money at their attempts to build, and therefore define, the metaverse. Basically, if the metaverse is the new internet, then everyone wants to be the new Google - holding the keys to the huge amounts of money to be made from selling advertising there. BSc or M.A.

As a long-time AR enthusiast, and one of the first to have tried Google Glass in Italy, I have to admit that I will consider AR mainstream only when it will be on glasses that we will wear all day , when we’ll live in a completely shared mixed reality world (the AR Cloud). Didn’t work (Image by Microsoft). Sounded good.

Reliance Jio’s foray into mixed reality started in 2019 when they acquired majority stake in deep-tech startup Tesseract which has a few hardware products in XR space.

Finally after China and United States, also India has entered the AR race with the launch of the Jio AR glasses. India’s first 5G network; 2. Google’s investment for a 7.7% Google-Jio joint venture to develop an Android-based platform for an affordable 5G phone. Not a great evolution from Microsoft.
