This could actually be quite beneficial for Meta, Microsoft, and Magic Leap. The reveal that Apple will be using Unity to bring 3D applications and games to Vision Pro was exciting. Also, while converging the physical and virtual worlds is inevitable, it won’t be through massive ski goggles on your face.

The optical system is “combined lightguide”, a fancy name to say that these glasses work by creating an image on a screen, and then using a mirror (that is on the top) to project it onto a semitransparent lens that you have in front of your eyes. Being the lens transparent, you can see through it both the real and virtual world.
