The optical system is “combined lightguide”, a fancy name to say that these glasses work by creating an image on a screen, and then using a mirror (that is on the top) to project it onto a semitransparent lens that you have in front of your eyes. Being the lens transparent, you can see through it both the real and virtual world.

I think there’s an inherent risk of collecting eye tracking data, and positional head tracking data, and more data about individuals. When you when you think of all of the technologies we have with Hololens and Magic Leap and we have all these amazing technologies for spatial computing.
