Madefire, a digital comic book app company, recently announced the launch of a new preview app that brings select issues to Oculus and Samsung’s Gear VR. The company exhibited the app at this year’s New York Comic-Con and Oculus Connect 3. Madefire isn’t the first group to try and bring comic books to VR.

The Oculus Creators Lab delivers yet another offering of socially conscious VR films that will leave you thinking. A harrowing examination into ethnic hatred, the film shows the viewers Angel’s eye-opening journey of self-discovery, from her eight years of blind hatred within white supremacist groups, to her eventual recovery.
