A new FCC listing appears for an HTC Vive headset. And in fact, a new request to FCC for a new device has arrived from HTC. FCC certifications are requested before releasing an electronic device in the US (to certify that it is safe to be used), so this is a clear sign that HTC is going to release a new headset soon.

Sony Electronics Head of Business Development, Thaisa Yamamura, presented the Auggie Award for Best Art or Film. Yamamura also presented the winner with a Sony Spatial Reality Display, a “glasses-free 3D display that will improve their workflow.” Alvin Graylin, HTC China President, presented the Auggie for Best Head-Worn Device.

On the client side, the system will become compatible with iOS devices, and a Magic Leap client has also been developed. HTC is going to launch its headset on May, 11th. HTC is keeping rising the hype for its new upcoming headset. I also expect it to be consumer-oriented in China. I think it is pretty explicit.
