When it comes to virtual reality, you really do have to ‘see it to believe it’, so Sony is joining the ranks of HTC and Oculus in opening demo spaces for their VR headset to retailers nationwide. That number is slated to expand to 300 locations across the US and Canada starting June 24th.

The PSVR unit will work with the PlayStation 4 and Sony says they’ll have 50 games ready to go at launch. Starting on June 24th, PlayStation will offer PSVR demos at about 300 Best Buy and GameStop locations across the US and Canada. PlayStation VR’s release date is October 13, and it will be priced at a very accessible $399.

But as far as I know, nothing disruptive for the industry : Oculus has already shots all its bullets, and HTC for the first time isn’t announcing anything. Some surprises may arrive from Sony (I hope so, but I don’t believe so), but for the rest, I’ve mostly heard about news from secondary operators. Let’s see.
