Now it’s time to make some forecasts about its companion technology, that is augmented reality! This commercial video about Google Glasses led me to immersive realities. The answer is not so trivial.

Unluckily, probably I won’t be able to get the Apple Vision Pro, first of all, because I’m in Italy, and second because it would be a pretty hefty investment for me to buy a Vision Pro and a Mac to develop for it. First of all, it revealed that, according to analyst firm IDC, XREAL owns 51% of the augmented reality market.

That’s why at SIGGRAPH in August is presenting a new prototype headset that doesn’t do the reprojection of passthrough , enabling perspective-correct VR passthrough with good image quality, low latency, and thin form factor. Holo-Light showed me that AR cloud rendering may already work

I wonder if I launched the same application from my city here in Italy, if I would have the same results. The problem of cloud rendering is not the one of making the system to work, is the fact that you must have a server close to you to have an acceptable latency , and this is not always possible at the moment.
