Last week Oculus launched the App Lab , a brand new service for the Oculus Quest/Quest 2 that allows developers to share their works-in-progress with users without the need for official Oculus Store approval. I absolutely love it when a game makes full use of the immersive capabilities of VR technology. Puzzling Places , a hyper-realistic VR puzzle game from developer Realities.io , is one such example. is working with Oculus on an official release. Image Credit: Realities.io. Realities.io , the team behind the photogrammetry-based VR experience Realities (2016) , today released a prototype version of their latest creation, a 3D VR jigsaw puzzle game for Oculus Quest called Puzzling Places. “The game design, sound design, and environment design were all built around reinforcing that concept.”

Puzzling Places Details: Available On: Oculus Quest , (PSVR coming in 2021) . Reviewed On: Oculus Quest 2. The concept is simple: the game includes 16 puzzles at launch, all of which can be fractured into 25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 pieces. A bit more on difficulty in Immersion though. Price: $15.
