Part 2: Flight In the last post , I covered the creation of the monarch butterfly avatar that players will embody in this VR game/simulation. In my next post I’ll talk more specifics about the forthcoming environment, based on the actual habitat of the monarch as well as my research into butterfly perception and how this will be simulated.

More info Meta may partner soon with Magic Leap The Financial Times this week reported a very unexpected piece of news: Meta may be working on a partnership with Magic Leap for the production of AR glasses. Magic Leap has factories in the US and Mexico able to produce AR glasses.

VR just passed the thorough of disillusionment and is here to stay thanks to investments in the AR/VR market by Facebook, Google and Apple. The cost appears to be around $90k in the US, Canada, Mexico and Australia. . VR simulators are more interactive.

Dan: In my past, I used to work with simulators — big aircraft simulators, etc. But obviously these people couldn’t afford a $50-million simulator. Most people know VR and AR as if kind of something in the last five years. I don’t know if you realize, 82 percent of universities have tried VR and AR.
