This fall promises to be very interesting for AR and VR, and in this first week of September we had many interesting XR news that are going to heat up the competition in the space! Rumors hint to Oculus discontinuing the current Quest and selling the new one at $299 and $399. Facebook halts the sale of Quest in Germany.

This means that professionals from these countries will be finally able to buy the best AR headset on the market in an easy way without using foreign stores. These numbers are a great piece of news because they show how VR adoption is growing and that the Oculus Quest 2 launch is contributing to this growth.

Facebook gets sued for monopolization in US and Germany. The actions coming from the US are not much related to VR and Oculus, but mostly to the social space. This could also mean splitting the Facebook Reality Labs into a separate company (a new Oculus?), Oculus Rift S now costs $300. Top news of the week.
