If the report were true, this would mean that Apple doesn’t believe in AR anymore and this would be terrible news for all the immersive realities ecosystem. Oculus is working on 2nd gen VR. Honestly, I find it a smart idea for this moment, but I also think that HTC has to invest more to have more content on Viveport on the long term if it plans to fight with Oculus and its upcoming Quest. HTC is also experimenting with implementing hand gestures and actions ; I want to try it to verify its real accuracy and speed.

This doesn’t look like Oculus Quest” and in the text puts a link to an Imgur album with 4 photos featuring various half-assembled VR headsets. So, we are at premium 1st gen levels. The rightmost ones are clearly bigger. There are no signs of eye tracking in this headset.
