Or better, I can imagine who can be the names and they are all the big monoliths: Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon , etc… Only companies of this size could afford selling a good headset under cost and at the same time attract enough developers to publish VR games on their own new stores. There will be at least another big game.

You can already use Valve’s tools to create custom maps for the game. Waiting until now would mean that next VR game by Valve would come out in 2024–2025… do you really think they don’t want to make the ecosystem to grow now? No complete SDK is in sight , tough. I don’t believe them at all : Alyx required 4 years of development.
