This week in XR hasn’t had any explosive news, but it was interesting nonetheless: in particular we had cool info on AR glasses, with some news from Kura, Lynx, and Samsung. Samsung AR glasses concept has been leaked. Popular Twitter leaker WalkingCat has leaked two trailer videos about two AR glasses by Samsung.

Two days ago, I’ve given you my predictions for virtual reality in 2021 (read it, in case you missed it). 2021 is going to be an interesting year for AR. In this sense, 2021 will be a very important year, because we’ll start seeing how the mainstream is interested in wearing electronic glasses on their face.

Preorders are open now with just a little deposit of $10, shipping in 2021. All these data together make me a bit skeptical about the capabilities of this company: developing such kind of a high-quality headset requires a lot of expertise, while the company is very small and features no known expert in the field.

Apple glasses are coming in 2021–2022 and they are incredibly sleek. He says that Apple AR glasses will come in 2021 and that he has seen them. Out of nowhere, Epic Games has teased the next version of Unreal Engine, Unreal Engine 5, due to be released in 2021. So let me stop talking and let’s dig into them immediately!
