If you’ve played any of 4A Games’ Metro franchise—all set in a post-apocalyptic Russian wasteland—you won’t be surprised to find that the studio was founded in Kiev, Ukraine. At the time the studio hadn’t yet committed to making a VR game, nor were Oculus’ Touch controllers on the map just yet.

I started working in VR in 2014, and if you asked me what the XR landscape could have been in 2024 , I would have totally missed the predictions. The conflict in Ukraine has created new economic problems in Europe, and inflation has skyrocketed at a certain point. This reasoning works for everyone.
