If the headset does work on the other PC (like in my case), then there is some software problem with SteamVR. Otherwise, contact HTC support to have your Vive fixed (good luck with that). There are anyway other tools that can help in configuring it properly. To enter SteamVR Beta, open Steam and Select Library -> Tools.
