If the headset does work on the other PC (like in my case), then there is some software problem with SteamVR. Otherwise, contact HTC support to have your Vive fixed (good luck with that). In my case, the controllers weren’t detected in any app, not even in Unity when developing for VR. Leap Motion driver and runtime.
