That’s why even Microsoft took Epic’s stances : Microsoft uses UE4 to develop some products also for Apple devices, and this decision hurts also its business. Representatives of the JianXi province and also the vice prime minister Liu He have visited the venue, and the Chinese Government has confirmed its strong interest in VR, that is seen as a strategic technology. And while China always moves chaotically, I think that the push of the government is helping its VR companies.

It's notable that this vision of augmented reality layers is also very similar to one shared by the earlier days of Magic Leap, before the company laid off many of its workers.
