Leap Motion. You may ask why I’m adding Leap Motion here. Well, during 2018, Leap Motion has announced the North Star reference design : a cheap augmented reality connected to PC, that is able to detect your hands very well thanks to Leap Motion’s sensor.

And that’s ok, it is still a new technology and it has already made big steps forward (I remember all the computer crashes I had at the Oculus DK 2 times!), Recently I had a big issue with my VR controllers in SteamVR (both with Oculus and Vive) and so I’m writing this post to try to help you in solving it. With no luck.

Well, with this new chip, headsets will: Have a resolution of 3K per eye ; Have up to 7 cameras used simultaneously (12 in total for the device). Oculus products have gone pretty well during the Black Weekend. But surprisingly, the Quest has not been the most sold device: the winner has been the Oculus Go. Upload VR).

No smearing, reduced mura; The lenses have been upgraded, using the ones engineered by Valve for the Index; The audio is conveyed through off-the-ear speakers , like the ones of the Valve Index; Comfort has been improved; There is IPD adjustment; There are now 4 tracking cameras. Oculus Link 2 could be tetherless.
