Making some calculations, it is possible to estimate that the per-eye resolution is around 2064×2208, a value that was leaked a few months ago from some data miner (Samulia). Unity page also confirms that the headset will provide plane detection, so you will be able for instance to detect the walls and the desks in your room.

I’m pretty sure that Sony is waiting the next few months to make some moves, there’s still the Black Friday and the Christmas Holiday that have to happen, but at the moment I do not see this device as disruptive to our ecosystem.

Inflation here in Italy is ramping up, and the impression I have is that we are entering into a recession phase. The same luck has not happened to employees at Niantic at Unity. PSVR 2 will have eye-tracking from Tobii and maybe a detachable cable. And all these problems are also creating unfavorable economic conditions.
