Huge sums of money are being pumped in for content creation, and it’s all thanks to 360-degree video. From there, some would tell everyone who has a phone (which everyone does) to download an app with a sync timer that will play a 360-degree video at a specific time. VRSE did it with around 1200 individuals at TED. Brands want views.

OMG, it’s almost 3 years that I write these roundups… the first week peek was exclusive for my blog subscribers and it featured as best news the release of Google Blocks and in the other news something about Samsung Gear VR… how much time has passed since then! So many memories… who was there already in VR with me? We’ll see….

add compatibility=”vr|2d” attribute for <source> elements to make certain video renditions only play out on VR or 2D mode. Fix showing of device motion dialog when switching from 2D video to VR playback. Fix legibility of current video time in 3D VR video controls. Fix flat video support in VR.

Personally, I would find talking with a digital avatar in a video call a bit weird, but according to Microsoft’s tests, for 70% of people, this is ok.
