Tim Cook just officially announced that more than half of Fortune 100 companies have bought at least one Apple Vision Pro headset. Enterprises including KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, SAP, Porsche, Lowe's, and EnBW have publicly confirmed using Apple Vision Pro with custom visionOS software. Vision Pro launched exactly three months ago.

I think this is a very smart pricing strategy, because it more or less replicates the one of HoloLens 2, while undercutting it by $200 in its lowest tier. Apple to launch a second “more affordable” headset in 2025. Probably the communication machine of the company is not as strong as before, so the old message still hangs around.

It was in the air in the last weeks and finally, the time has come: Facebook is being sued for monopolization and anticompetitive strategy. And while Unreal Engine already supports OpenXR, Unity is a bit lagging, but support is coming in 2021. Facebook gets sued for monopolization in US and Germany. News worth a mention. I can’t wait.

It seems that Meta is having a very confused social strategy for what concerns the Horizon ecosystem and is trying different things to see what sticks (probably no one of the above). It is fun because this means that you can have a multiplayer home in Horizon Worlds and also a multiplayer Horizon Home on your same device.
