As a long-time AR enthusiast, and one of the first to have tried Google Glass in Italy, I have to admit that I will consider AR mainstream only when it will be on glasses that we will wear all day , when we’ll live in a completely shared mixed reality world (the AR Cloud). Or is it just a talk about glasses?

Pepperidge Farm remembers when people wearing Google Glasses were called “Glassholes” and kicked out of shops (a nice prize for having spent $1500 on a new device) and Facebook wants to see if in 2020 there could be similar problems (“Ariassholes” sounds good). That will come in the second step of the project.

So I’ve seen lots of experimentation with Google and their new software to be able to not only recognize a shirt but be able to serve you up suggestions for where you can buy one similar. Now I feel left out.

It brings with it a bunch of new technologies that could disrupt even Apple, Google, or Amazon, but soon will start bringing service after service to your home.
