The VR route is instead being pursued by HTC (with its VEC event happening soon) and IEEE. The idea of the algorithm is rendering the VR experience at low resolution and then use Machine Learning magic to expand this low-res rendering to the native resolution of Quest while preserving the visual fidelity. Who knows….
