Apple glasses are coming in 2021–2022 and they are incredibly sleek. He says that Apple AR glasses will come in 2021 and that he has seen them. Unreal Engine 5 may change the rules of game development. Out of nowhere, Epic Games has teased the next version of Unreal Engine, Unreal Engine 5, due to be released in 2021.

Lynx will start this Kickstarter campaign in September 2021 and expects to ship its consumer device in February 2022 (but remember that delays with Kickstarter are very frequent). Amazon Lumberyard becomes opensource. Amazon has launched some years ago its 3D engine called Lumberyard, derived from Crytek’s Cryengine.

The Marketplace will launch in 2021. Unity and Unreal are both incredible game engines and both require specialized training and/or teams to develop for. It feels abandoned in the overall Amazon ecosystem and the rendering technology is older and inefficient. For what AR and VR devices can it export to?
