Virtual reality (VR) is all about immersion in whatever experience you happen to be in. In reality that has taken longer than expected yet hand-tracking has now caught up with VR headsets. In today’s smartphone world the open tipped glove is essential and proved very useful even for the relatively short demo.

3D objects had washed out colors , a bit like when you see AR objects through HoloLens 1 and Magic Leap One … they appeared a bit semi-transparent. You can also move a bit the head , and the virtual elements still visualize in the correct way. The 3D emulation was not that perfect , so I felt some sickness while using it.

TIP: If you can allocate the budget I would recommend buying 2 display LCD panels and 1 driver board. Triton works with Leap Motion (now Ultra Leap) hands tracking. Originally I was going to make a standalone device which hooked everything up to a Nvidia Jetson Nano that could be worn on your belt (think Magic Leap One).
