While the spotlight is all on Oculus and its Quest, actually Pico and HTC are evolving their hardware and software offerings without almost no one talking about it. I’ve made a nice Youtube video with me saying random stuff and exploring the Vive Hand Tracking SDK at first in Unity and then in action using my hands in VR.

Otherwise, now the situation is more or less like before, with the exception of some places where there are still some Oculus devices in stock (for instance in Japan and Taiwan). The VR route is instead being pursued by HTC (with its VEC event happening soon) and IEEE. Unity’s HDRP is now VR-compatible.

The Series A was led by Qualcomm Ventures, and also involved The VR Fund (contributors to The Wave’s round as well), Colopl Next, Capital Factory, HTC, and more. HTC FUNDS STEEL WOOL, SOLO.
