Microsoft is keeping pursuing AR, and in fact, part of the resources that were devoted to HoloLens 3 are now dedicated to what is known as project Bondi, which is the AR glasses that Microsoft is building with Samsung. Emerge is a new XR haptic device. These are the most interesting gaming haptic devices I have ever seen.

So at least the collaboration with Valve is true, but notice that it has not been on the headset, so they got no reference design from Valve, it has just been on the software integration. While HTC is struggling on the hardware side, I think that it is moving very well to create a good software ecosystem, at least in China.

In my opinion , the true error is with the Vive 1 , that will get a price that is higher than the one of all the competitors… and that will cost as much as a Samsung Odyssey, notwithstanding its far lower features. This is Oculus’s answer to Steam Hardware & Software Survey. Vive Focus comes to the west.

Senseglove is an “affordable” enterprise haptic glove and it has just been upgraded to a version that is much more comfortable and usable than the last one. The environment where she has performed in was made in Unreal Engine and the modeling and the shading was so good that for a moment I thought it was a real studio.

The shutdown of its main XR hardware project makes us all think that Google will try to do in XR what it is already doing with smartphones: become the software platform that many hardware OEMs use. Let’s see: Google is still working with Qualcomm and Samsung on a mixed-reality headset. I’m curious to see how this will turn out to be.
