To close 2022, Magic Leap’s leadership team underwent a major restructuring following a significant investment from Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. The investment by Saudi’s PIF division allows the region to own over 50 percent of Magic Leap’s ownership stake. A 16GB computing pack.

The startup is pretty new, in fact, and its owner group is Megadodo, another unknown company that is working on an MMO game about which is difficult to find any information. A new FCC listing appears for an HTC Vive headset. And in fact, a new request to FCC for a new device has arrived from HTC. HTC launches Vive XR Suite.

If we exclude the major tech companies (Facebook, Valve, etc…) and the meteor Magic Leap, this is the first VR company to reach this status, and this is another sign of the health of the virtual reality ecosystem. The investment round has been led by Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures and includes Madrona Venture Group.
