I’m pretty sure that Sony is waiting the next few months to make some moves, there’s still the Black Friday and the Christmas Holiday that have to happen, but at the moment I do not see this device as disruptive to our ecosystem.

Best Collaboration Tool Sony Electronics Head of XR Business Development Thaisa Yamamura was “honored to present” the Auggie Award for Best Collaboration Tool. She also presented the winner with a 15.6in Sony Spatial Reality Display.

Of course, it needs time, so I think that it can become a serious competitor maybe in 12–24 months. If the rumor is true, Meta by 2024 is going to basically release the Nreal glasses or a mix of Nreal Light and Magic Leap 2. Epic Games just got $2B from Sony and the owners of the Lego group to keep building its metaverse.
