Projects must be viewable via Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR, or Google Cardboard. Fictional and non-fictional, live-action cinematography and CGI are all acceptable as long as they are compatible with mobile HMD's such as Samsung Gear VR. The festival mainly focuses on VR narratives and documentaries.

We were at the Austin City Limits concert, for example. But something like the Samsung Gear VR, we don’t know how much it gets used, but at least you have the capability. We did a deal with the Disney group, including all the studios owned by Disney — Marvel, Lucas, ABC, Disney Nature, there are 13 or 14 of them.
