And talking about “cool” things (pun intended), today I’m traveling to Helsinki, Finland, where I hope to have a great time at MatchXR. This may be one of the potential names for either the upcoming mixed reality headset that Samsung is developing with Google or the name of future AR glasses. Will we meet there?

The news is overly important because Alyx is already changing the virtual reality landscape for these reasons: It is increasing awareness towards VR a lot (all mainstream gaming media are talking about it); It is increasing sales of VR headsets a lot; It will probably show us new interactions in XR that will affect the UX of many games after it.

We have been waiting for “Medal Of Honor: Above And Beyond” for years : it had been announced as an AAA game, made in collaboration with a great studio like Respawn Entertainment, with realistic recreation of war in virtual reality. Since Snap Camera is supported, you can use it to also have virtual makeup on Zoom or Google Duo.

I mean, we have access to the world’s information — I can Google pretty much any details — but it just gives me the information. I can ask Google questions now; Voice, Amazon, Alexa, and Google Voice. Now, I don’t even have to pull my phone out; I can just ask Google and every answer is there.
