Interestingly, these controllers are nothing revolutionary, they are not implementing inside-out tracking like the Quest Pro, but they are refining instead the existing design, a bit like Sony did with the controllers of PSVR 2. The most interesting ones for me are related to hand tacking. Meta Quest will receive Hand Tracking 2.2, which makes the hand tracking more responsive to fast movements of hands : the system can so track the hands also when the user is playing fitness games like FitXR (or HitMotion: Reloaded).

These are huge numbers for VR: if you look at the most recent SteamVR survey, you get that Oculus headsets are now at 67% of the whole PCVR market. This is amazing for us developers, but unluckily it is a feature tied to using the Oculus SDK, which is not cross-platform. Sony acquires Bungie and thinks about Capcom.
