The report, which hasn’t received comment from either Facebook or Luxottica, maintains that the device should launch to consumers sometime between 2023 – 2025. Notably, Luxottica partnered with Google in 2014 to design and distribute additional frames for Google Glass in effort to make the smartglasses a high fashion item.

CNBC reports the project is codenamed ‘Orion’, with an estimated launch taking place sometime between 2023 and 2025. The ‘Orion’ project still exists but is a far more advanced AR device along the lines of Magic Leap One or HoloLens 2. which is a forte of Ray-Ban.

Personally, I have some concerns about the cost of the Hololens and the Magic Leap devices at this time. And I see that right now, Oculus is filling that void. Alan: What do you try it?
