Google tried to create screen to fit in a pair of Glasses; Google Glass, and paired it with touch and voice controls. Glass was never more than alpha-stage hardware and Google only marketed it as a developmental product through the Explorer Program. Google discontinued the interface in January 2015. ZeniMax sued Oculus, Facebook, and well-known virtual reality leaders John Carmack and Palmer Luckey for misappropriating trade secrets after Carmack left ZeniMax’s id Software and went to work at Oculus.
