It is a big showcase demo for its Unreal Engine 5, and I have to say it is pretty impressive. A small team has crafted the experience that includes the quasi-realistic avatars of Neo and Trinity , and a great action scene happening in a city that is a bit bigger than Downtown Los Angeles. Magic Leap rebrands and kills the whale.

Most people know Xu due to his dispute with American virtual reality company Magic Leap. In June 2019, Magic Leap accused Xu of stealing AR glasses technology when he was an engineer working at the firm. Before his entrepreneurial work, Mahajan was an engineer at Epic Games on the Unreal Engine and Gears of War.

So I feel like there’s so much of a mirroring of what’s happening in these virtual worlds that the training applications are just incredible, in terms of whether it’s a surgical simulation or Walmart’s using it to train for different employees. Both the Hololens 2 and the Magic Leap are shipping with eye tracking.
